Spring is almost here—and our leagues are about two weeks away! After a long winter, the LDGA disc golf season is nearly back.

A reminder that our LDGA League Membership registration is now open. You can register on Disc Golf Scene by following this link.

Your LDGA League Membership supports disc golf in London Ontario. This year, we are striving to make new and lasting connections with the City of London to advocate for course improvements for River's Edge at St. Julien and for future courses in London. We're also organizing our premiere disc golf tournament, the Forest City Open. We've launched a new website, and are working to involve our membership more than ever.

Your membership also allows you to vote in our annual meeting at the end of the season, and get involved in the day-to-day running of the LDGA. We look forward to having you as a member!

Spring Flex C-Tier Presented by THROW Disc Sports

Join us at River's Edge at St. Julien Park in London, Ontario, for a C-Tier Flex Start Tournament on April 18th. This single-round event offers flexible tee times between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, allowing you to fit a competitive round into your Saturday schedule. Players can compete in groups of three to five, with day-of registration available for those looking for a last-minute challenge.

The entry fee is $30, which includes a $5 contribution toward the Forest City Open (FCO) fundraiser. Pro divisions will compete for cash payouts, while Amateur divisions will play for merch, with the top 40% of each field receiving prizes. Please note that an additional $15 fee applies for non-PDGA members.

Registration is now open! Support local disc golf course improvements and events.

Weekend League

Weekend League returns Saturday, April 4. 9:30-9:45 AM check in, 10 AM tee off.

This year, under the leadership of Joe McCafferty, we’re trying a new format, including splitting the field into divisions so that players of different skill levels can compete against similarly skilled players.

$4 per round (cash) for Saturday or Sunday league.

Season pass: $60 via Disc Golf Scene, covering all weekend league rounds (Sat + Sun) from April 4 to November 7, including League Finals and remain eligible for end-of-season payouts. This is approximately 65 rounds for $60.

For frequent players, this offers significant value—many regulars would have previously paid $100+ over the course of the season including finals.

If you prefer not to use Disc Golf Scene, you can pay cash for the Season pass during league check-in or continue to pay per round. 15 rounds of pay as you go will also make you eligible for end-of-season payouts.

Thursday Evening Doubles League

Thursday Random Doubles returns to River's Edge at St. Julien Park (42 St. Julien St) on April 2 and will run until November 5th. Here's the details:

$5 per round

$100 ace pot

Payouts for the top 3

Tee off: 5:30 PM

Check-in: 5:00–5:15 PM

We're excited to see you there!

Women's League

River's Edge Woman's Disc Golf League is a weekly gathering of encouraging, friendly females of all skill levels. They will meet on Monday evenings from the last week of April to the first week in September.  This year will be starting up April 27.

There are free loaner discs for any woman that would like to come out and give disc golf a try. There is no cost.  More information through our social media group: River's Edge Woman's Discgolf League

We even lucked out with a thaw and some decent weather for the event. Congrats to our winners, team McCause and Effect (John Holman and Ian McCausland) who took down the #1 spot in the Open Division and team Huffleputts (Deanna and James Green) who took down the Mixed Division.

Course Clean Up

River's Edge at St. Julien lost a lot of trees from the December 26th Ice Storm. The city is now making some emergency sewer repairs to a pipe that was damaged by a fallen tree during this ice event. In the process of doing so, they have cut down a lot of the damaged trees on hole 3 and 4. We'll be continuing to work with the city to clean up some of the other downed trees, but we're happy to report that the course is fully playable.

Thank you to Bob Deen, Ty Gar, Andrew Ostrum, Jason Gravel, and so many others who have put in effort to remove some of the branches, trunks and debris that followed the ice storm. Our president, Patrick McCormack will be doing a walk through with a representative from London Parks and Recreation next week as we continue to advocate for course improvements.

New Website

We are excited to announce the launch of our new website at www.ldga.ca. At the new website, you can find a live events calendar that will be updated continually throughout the year. Visit often if you want to find out about disc golf related events held by the LDGA and beyond (we'll also be including events from leagues in the area! If you'd like an event added to the calendar, let us know at info@ldga.ca). You'll also find a list of lost and found discs which updates from Disc Defender, information about our courses and our 2026 leagues. We'll continue to showcase the course and our league members on the site throughout the year.
